Are you passionate about mentoring ambitious students and helping them achieve their most ambitious goals? Do you thrive in a coaching role, working closely with individuals to keep them motivated, accountable, and progressing towards success? If you're eager to leverage your mentorship and coaching skills to support high-performing teens, the role of Program Associate is for you.
Prequel is where the most ambitious teens turn their biggest dreams into reality. Through hands-on projects, expert mentorship, and a high-performance community, we help middle and high school students develop the mindset and skills needed to succeed at the highest levels.
As a Program Associate, you will work 1:1 with students to help them push their limits, maintain momentum, and overcome roadblocks. You will be a key part of their journey, ensuring they stay focused, motivated, and on track to complete their masterpiece project—whether that’s launching a company, writing a bestselling book, or building a game-changing AI tool. In addition to coaching, you’ll help keep the program running by supporting live sessions, fostering community engagement, and ensuring students get the most out of their Prequel experience.
What you will be doing
- Student Tracking – Keep every student on track and be able to report back to the team on each student's progress.
- 1:1 Coaching – Work closely with students to keep them on track, help them set and achieve milestones, and push their limits. Know every student’s ‘why’ deeply.
- Live Session Support – Help facilitate workshops, discussions, and guest speaker events, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for students.
- Community Engagement – Foster an active and supportive student community through structured check-ins, challenges, and peer collaborations.
- Program Operations – Support the day-to-day execution of the program, making sure students have access to the resources and guidance they need.
What you will NOT be doing
- Teaching in a Traditional Classroom – Prequel is action-based and student-driven.
- Lowering the Bar for Anyone – Your job is to challenge students, not let them take the easy path.
- Spoon-feeding Answers – You guide students to find their own solutions, not do the work for them.
Candidate requirements
- Proven coaching experience – Strong background in mentoring, coaching, or teaching, ideally in high-performance environments.
- Business & startup experience – Experience in entrepreneurship, startups, or business strategy, either from working in a startup, founding a business, or from a degree.
- Exceptional communicator – Engaging, dynamic, and able to push students to perform at their highest level.
- Highly organized – Skilled at tracking student progress, managing milestones, and ensuring follow-through.
- Flexible schedule – Available evenings and Saturdays to align with student needs. The working hours for this position are typically afternoons & evenings EST.
